Canada Basketball is the governing body for the sport in the country.  Basketball Canada is recognized as a world leader in all aspects of basketball, and consistently reaches the podium in FIBA competitions and the Olympics Games.  The organization is involved in high performance programming and events including the Junior Academy, the Targeted Athlete Strategy, National Championships, 3X3,the Junior NBA, National Teams, and other initiatives.

Basketball Canada is also responsible for the development of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) for coaches in the country and is active in the development of officials.
