Junior Academy
The Women’s Junior Academy Program is a part of Canada Basketball’s Targeted Athlete Strategy (TAS) program, which began in 2009.

Junior Academy is the entry point into Canada Basketball's High Performance Athlete Development Pathway. Through excellent coaching and programming, Basketball Canada aims to provide 40 selected players in grade 8 or 9 with an opportunity to train and develop in a high-performance environment.

Following the open identification tryout, over the course of six-weekend training sessions, selected athletes spend six weekend training sessions work on developing their on-court skills while also completing a series of off-court sessions focusing on social/emotional/mental development.

Tryouts are complete for the 2023-24 season.
